University of Maryland School of Pharmacy third-year student Meghna Bhatt was among the six winners announced Thursday in the University System of Maryland (USM) Public Health Challenge.

Bhatt’s project on combating pandemic fatigue won in the digital images category. Her campaign includes three images that highlight the safety and efficacy of vaccines and the importance of getting vaccinated as well as the need to continue following public health guidelines.

USM’s COVID Research & Innovation Task Force invited members of the USM community to take part in the multimedia challenge, seeking creative ways to highlight how Marylanders can stay safe and healthy while waiting for a vaccine.
